A hard days work


The fishermen at work.


The fishermen don't necessarily own the boat they fish in. There are 2 fishermen per rowing boat and the owner is considered the 3rd fisherman - the catch is then split 3 ways - thereby earning the owner money and the fisherman their keep.

I guess that is like tenant farming which is still done here in America.
